Who we are
We are the call you hope not to have to make.
REAP Global Inc has worked on negotiation, capacity and cross-border representation since 2007, for governments, ministries, and large- to mid-cap companies.
The firm
What we are
Our core competencies are negotiation and strategy development. The shortest honest description of the work is this: we are fixers. You hope you do not have to call us, but if you do, we can fix it.
That is not a claim about being able to salvage anything. It is a description of when we are usually engaged. Organizations do not commission this kind of work when things are going well. They call when a project has stopped, when a counterparty has become an adversary, or when a market they committed to has turned out to work differently than the plan assumed.
How we work
We are independent of the outcome. We are not carrying a transaction fee that only pays if the deal closes. That matters, because part of what we are paid for is the ability to tell a client that the deal in front of them is not worth doing, or that the obstacle they have described is not the real one.
We are small, and senior. The person who assesses the problem is the person who does the work. There is no team of analysts between the diagnosis and the room.
We are discreet by default. Much of what we do is confidential and stays that way. We do not publish client names without explicit permission, and we do not treat a completed engagement as marketing material.
We work through obstacles, not around them. Cultural and geopolitical roadblocks do not dissolve because a project is well-capitalized. They are worked through by understanding what is actually behind them, which usually takes longer at the start and considerably less time overall.
Who we work with
Sovereign governments and ministries developing national assets or negotiating with foreign investors. Large- and mid-cap companies entering unfamiliar jurisdictions, or in dispute with a partner or regulator in one. Investors who need an independent read on whether a project's stated timeline and risk profile are realistic.
What we are not
We are not a law firm, and we do not replace counsel. We are not an investment bank, and we do not raise capital. We are not a management consultancy that delivers a report and departs. We do a narrow thing: we assess what is genuinely in the way, we build a path through it, and we stay until the thing is operating.
If your problem is not one of those, we will say so.
Next step
Tell us what has stopped.
A first conversation is confidential and costs nothing. If the problem is not one we are right for, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
